It doesn't have to be perfect to begin

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

It doesn't have the be perfect to begin. And why I'm using stock photos on my site.

I am a perfectionist. I always have been. 110%.

The middle child, the only girl in the family and the only person with bright, flaming curly red hair. The people pleaser. I was born with the desire to make people happy and I thought I would be able to do this if I did everything - perfectly.

I've grown up from that place, but the drive and ambition for perfect is still very strong. I talk a lot about PEAK performance and becoming your best self. I coach my team and my classes 'go to the next level'. It's innate in me, it's what I do. I see wasted potential everywhere I go and it makes me sad. (Yes, I am also an empath).

I have been working on starting my personal training business for years, since 2010 to be exact. The massive derailment (AKA divorce) in 2011 sent me in a different direction with focus on my children and my other passions (AKA I had to make some money, quickly). So PT took a backseat, but was never forgotten.

Procrastination is the enemy of progress. I have been putting off launching my website because it wasn't perfect. I didn't want, I don't want, to use stock photography. I wanted REAL photos, with me in them, showing what I do so that, you, the potential client would understand my passion and want to come along with me on my journey.

But procrastinating and being a perfectionist is not serving me well. It's keeping me from my goals which is unacceptable.

So here's my website. It is, and will most likely always be, a work in progress (WIP). But it's out there, for everyone to see. Thanks for visiting!

Keep up the great work!
